The choir are delighted to announce that we have presented a cheque for £1600 to the Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust.
With the proceeds from our charity concert on 15 December and the money raised by the memory tree kindly donated by the Co-Op we have exceeded the money raised by last year’s concert by £300. We are very glad that the audience was willing to brave the wet and windy weather to come and listen!
Between the excellent singing from the choir and the outstanding performance from Hatfield and Askern Brass Band it was a fabulous night, and the refreshments provided at the interval by Co-Op Food were enjoyable as always. We are very grateful to the Co-Op and especially the Co-Op Member Pioneers for all their hard work before and during the concert which helped make the evening such a success.
The Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust is Doncaster’s oldest cancer charity and does fantastic work providing equipment and facilities for local cancer patients. The choir have supported the charity for several years and we are always happy to assist such a worthwhile cause.
